Lunch at the World Famous Oasis

Thursday I had lunch at the World Famous Oasis.  This is the beach place to eat.  When people come to St. Augustine they want to go to a place that reminds them of the Bahamas.  The Oasis is that place.  You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner there.  If you want to rock to music all night this is also the place to be.  The World Famous Oasis is also very popular with the Harley riders.  If you want to have fun The World Famous Oasis is the St Augustine Restaurant to go to.

Seafood Kitchen

Today I went to the Seafood Kitchen for lunch.  I had a talapia fish sandwich and collard greens.  The collard greens are the best in the state.  With the fish sandwich for $5.95 you get two sides.  I love the collards so much, I had them for both of my sides.  My friend had the sandwich too, but she ordered the baked sweet potato and the collards.  The food was great and I did not have to take out a loan to eat it.  The service is friendly and fast.  Try out the Seafood Kitchen.  You will love it.

The Purple Olive

Last night I went to The Purple Olive.  The Purple Olive is one of the special surprises on the beach.  It is located in a small shopping plaza on A1A.  On the outside it looks like an unobtrusive store front restaurant.  Inside it as a very cool international flair.  The food is by far the best international food on St. Augustine Beach.  I had the White Wine Seafood on angel hair pasta.  It came out in a large bowel with mussels, shrimp, fish and scallops.  The broth was a delightful wine sauce.  I had more than enough for any hungry man.  The salad was a mix of greens and the best creamy Romano dressing I have every had.  My friend had the duck.  She said it was so tender and flavorful.  She had the soup of the day and it was a Minorcan style tomato chowder.  She said that she would always get the duck whenever she came to The Purple Olive.  It was that good.  For dessert we shared the Creme Brule.  It came with two strawberries and two slices of pineapple that had been grilled

This will always be one of my favorite places to eat.  It is a place to go for a celebration or just because.  It is one of the best St Augustine Restaurants.
